"I am making all things NEW"
A New Spiritual, Glorified, Immortal Body!
The first heaven and the first earth having passed away, God the Father presents a new heaven and new earth to the people he counts worthy of eternal life, “making everything new” for them. Revelation 21:1-4
“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’”
A stupendous reward that covers all the facets, parameters, and circumstances of a new, eternal existence! “…everything new,” and not just some of them.
“…everything new” includes a new spiritual, immortal body for every soul-spirit judged worthy to live on the new earth with its new heaven.
“So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.” 1 Corinthians 15:42-44
I want to be clothed with the promised new glorious, powerful, and immortal body! And you? If we desire it will all our hearts, let us then live, with unfailing determination, our daily lives here according to the exhortation which says:
“Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.” 2 John 1:8
Let us comply fully with the wise advice:
“So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Visualizing the action of fixing “our eyes… on what is UNSEEN,” in the mind, heart, and spirit we project ourselves as looking through a beautiful, majestic celestial portal (represented elegantly in the artistic rendition in the image) toward the heavenly spiritual sphere where reside God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the faithful angels who serve them and mortals on planet Earth who seek glory, honor, and immortality. A powerful white light in the center of the portal reflects the, for now, “unapproachable light” where he alone who is immortal lives. Hebrews 1:14; Romans 2:6-11; 1 Timothy 6:13-16
Fixing our sight long and intently on the deep blue, starry space beyond the portal, we visualize the new “world to come,” which is not weighted down and spoiled with old, heavy, painful things but shines with everything made new by God as a truly incomparable, awesome reward for the souls who love and follow him. Hebrews 2:5
Adaptable as an invitation to obey the gospel, a short message, or Bible class.
